Edward John Jones has been an active illustrator for science fiction titles ever since the 1950ies, with works published in "Nebula Science Fiction", "Vector" and "The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction", his paintings covered a number of Star Trek novels written by James Blish, italian and dutch Perry Rhodan puvblications as well as covers for German publishing houses Fischer and Ullstein.

He founded the "Liverpool School of SF Art" and died in 1999 as a result of a stroke.
