Content:

An oppressive regime, where reproduction is highly regulated forces people to go underground in order to avoid persecution.

What were passed as laws in an emergency are now being used to control the inhabitants of earth and to keep them dependend, despite the fact the problem of feeding the world has been solved on earth's many colonies.

Peter (the son of a rebel and working the media department) falls in love and they decide to break the law and have a child. Naturally, they now have to seek contact with the underground, despite our main protagonists earlier reluctance to do so.

The story set up is interesting, as Peter has been caught while trying to flee earth in a spaceship and is now telling his story to "the enemy" under truth-drugs.

This is almost Philip K. Dick-esque with the "propaganda-office" and the almost surreal setup of a man, totally incapacitated telling his story ...
