Robert Anson Heinlein (* July 7 1907, † May 9
1988) wrote
and sold his first science fiction story ("Life
Line") in 1938, it was published in "Astounding
Science Fiction").
Heinlein is well known for his "Future-History"
series and novels like "Rocket Ship Galileo (made
into a movie as "Destination Moon") or "Starship
Troopers", to name only a few.
He is regarded as one of the most influential writers
of science fiction; critics are unhappy about his faible
for the military.
