The "Verlag Neues Leben" was founded in Berlin
in 1946, just one year after the end of WW2.
The founding process was tedious, as different institutions
had to agree and permit the founding of a publishing
house. Erich Honecker was one of the first shareholders
of the company. He is probably better known for "running
things" in the DDR for a long time.
In 2004, Verlag Neues Leben became part of the Eulenspiegel
publishing group.
